You are invited to attend a West Point Job Fair in the Washington, DC Metro area on Friday, December 2, 2011. At this event, you can meet face-to-face with up to 33 employers in a wide range of fields. These companies and government agencies are  attending this job fair specifically to recruit West Point graduates.  This is not an event to be missed!!!  All types of jobs. Local and nationwide opportunities!!

TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL JOB FAIR:

* Refine your resume until it represents you in the best possible light; bring many copies of your resume.

* Practice your 30 seconds sales pitch.

* Research the companies in advance; know all you can about their products and services.

* Dress for success -- either a business suit or coat and tie are recommended for men; equivalent attire for women.

* Get a copy of the Employer Directory at the registration table. Read it.

* Project a professional image at all times.

* Be positive/upbeat.

* Meet with all the companies -- you never know where the "right" opportunity may be.

* Keep your options open. Stay flexible.

* Be respectful of the recruiter's time -- provide a brief, accurate glimpse of who you are, what you're looking to do, your geographic preference, and when you will be available to start work.

* Defer questions about salary requirements until later in the interview process.

* Thank the recruiter for giving you the opportunity to present your qualifications. Ask about next step

DRESS:

Business attire is recommended -- dress as you would for a job interview. Duty uniform is also acceptable attire.

DIRECTIONS to Army Navy Country Club, Arlington:

From I-95/495:             
Take I-395 to Exit 7B (North Glebe Road). Stay on Glebe Road for about ÿý Mile and make a Right Turn on to 18th Street. 18th Street quickly splits into 18th Street and 17th Road, Bear to the Right, which will be 18th Street. Stay on 18th Street until you see entrance to Army Navy Country Club.  The Clubhouse is straight ahead.
 
From Washington, DC:   
Cross the 14th Street Bridge and following the Signs for 395 South.  Stay on 395 until Exit 7 (Glebe Road).  Exiting 395 South, stay in the Right Exit Lane and go to the Traffic Light.  At the Traffic Light make a Right Turn on to Glebe Road.  Stay on Glebe Road for about ÿý Mile and make a Right Turn on to 18th Street. 18th Street quickly splits into 18th Street and 17th Road, Bear to the Right, which will be 18th Street. Stay on 18th Street until you see entrance to Army Navy Country Club.  The Clubhouse is straight ahead.
